2. Piper at the Gates of Dawn was the first commercial album released by Pink Floyd. This CD re-mastered in has excellent sound quality, especially when replayed through my sound system that can synthesise a surprisingly good surround effect from proper stereo. Some of the tracks are dated and naive and definitely not to modern tastes, but others are timeless and the greatly improved Reviews:

3. "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" was Pink Floyd's debut album, and the man behind the guitar and main vocal mic at the time was a pleasant, charming fellow named Roger "Syd" Barrett. He wrote most of the material, and his songs, unlike later PF songs that made good use of the melancholy and the menacing, were rooted in whimsy and English folklore/5().

4. Das ewrste Pink Floyd Album war vor 50 jahren ein meilenstein. Solche Musik hatte es bis dato noch nicht gegeben. Teilweise experimentell, aber auch schöne Harmonien. Heutzutage klinbt es mir nicht mehr so wild wie damals. Meine englische Pressung in Stereo ist tipp topp. Aber jetzt mit der remastereten Mono Version haut mich der Sound um/5(50).

The top right on the reverse of the cover states “SCX stereo” but at the bottom next to the Columbia EMI labels it states “This mono record has been /5(K).
